Earlier today, I took the boys over to the nearby movie theater to watch Green Lantern. I did this as a favor to the hubbster who promised them a movie but with wedding season underway, he was just far too busy. So instead of disappointing them, I grinned and beared watching Green Lantern in 3D none the less. I'm not a big fan of super hero movies and I anticipated an afternoon of boredom at the movies.
Going to the movie theaters in the early afternoon alone with my three boys takes a lot of mental preparation. They usually never keep still, they inevitably will ask for something other than what I brought them from the concession stand, and seating arrangements change as often as time ticks away.
When we arrived, we were already late and D was already arguing with me about not wanting JUST popcorn, but everything else on the menu. We fidgeted with M's 3D glasses a majority of the time, until ultimately he refused to wear them at all. B was a madman standing up and down from his seat and whispering endlessly - This is when sitting at the very top of the theater pays off.
Eventually, M tired out and fell asleep and I got to enjoy the last 30 minutes of the movie. Yes... if you caught that I ENJOYED the movie! It was actually pretty entertaining and it left me wanting to be "the chosen one" haha!
When we got home, we caught up on house chores and the boys played with the other neighborhood kids. I thought it would be important for B to spend time with his friends before leaving for an entire week to be with his dad.
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend! Post you soon.
