Making My Own Childhood Memories Part of Children's Memories

So, like a dork, I got uber excited that Beauty and the Beast was being re-released for it's Platinum Edition. And since I was too "cool" to purchase it the last time it was unvaulted, I rushed over to the store and picked up a copy of my all time favorite Disney movie after attending my English class tonight (tons of great conversation tonight, but I'll save that for another post).

Now, I don't have any daughters but figured that my boys would enjoy this some what fairy tale infused story that had a bit of masculinity in it. As we watched the movie; I sang, danced, and perhaps embarrassed them beyond belief. There were moments where they joined me and asked questions, which I absolutely loved. The fact that they were paying attention enough to want to ask questions excited me =D LOL! Yeah I know L-O-S-E-R, but whatever!

By the end of the night, Daniel was the last man standing. He's so sweet, he even watched the special features with me and indulged on the fact Zack and Cody from the Suite Life were advertising the Blu Ray feature, ha!
Brandon's spending time with his dad for the rest of the Fall Break and Matthew made it up until the unforgettable dance scene between Belle and the Beast. What a trooper for trying to make it.

There's something sweet about reliving these moments that ahem... so many years ago I witnessed as a child. The magic is still there, but not just through my own eyes but in even my sons' eyes. It's amazing. Disney never fails to make moments last forever.
