Fall Is Here

at least for today and for most of the week, then it's back to sweltering September weather. Blegh! It's actually cloudy, a little rainy, and a little gloomy. But because we've missed it so much in good ole' California, we seriously don't mind. I've always loved Fall, things just seem so much more possible and change in virtually everything you can think of is every where.

The boys are home for Fall Break (I know can you believe they're already off for an entire week?) and instead of packing in their week with non stop activities, we opted for a more lazy-day approach and gave them some free play. Though we still have a lot of other things planned for the week, nothing is finite but rather flexible. I think I did this more for me than for the kids. After spending the entire summer doing nothing but everything, I needed a short break to catch my breath.

School for me has been great, I dropped one of my classes because I saw that I was struggling with time and energy. So rather than getting an average grade in both classes I preferred to get one great grade in one class. Time, patience, and sacrifice right?

This passed weekend we had our annual Oktoberfest event. It was bigger than EVER and we were so happy to have been able to pull it off. There are MANY emberassing pictures on my Facebook and Fotki page... enough that I won't post any here, ha! This year it was a little harder to recuperate, but I'll blame age on this... my alcohol tolerance has tabled for the last few years. Gone are the days in which I can drink into stupidity, I have to start doing this thing called responsibility lol!
