It's official - well, I say it's official because I just spent a large amount of money on textbooks and if I'm gonna invest that much money and future time on something, it's official! - I'm completely mentally and physically prepared for school. After dropping off the older boys and M at preschool yesterday, I made a short trip to the campus book store to pick up my textbooks. I was kind of upset (yes, I'm a nerd!) that one of my textbooks, the one that I've been dying to page through, was on back order till next week. Boo!
With all the boys in school, I had some time to walk around the campus, check out where my classes were and of course - create a game plan. I couldn't help but feel anxious and excited at the same time. It's really disgusting how excited I am to go back to school. Maybe because this time, I'm ready to finish.
After picking up all the boys from school, we headed out to the valley for their Taekwondo class. But we arrived too early, so decided to kill some time having a special treat before their class started. We picked up some ice cream cones at a local store and talked the time away about their day. It's so much more entertaining if you heard from them, I wouldn't do it justice, LOL!
It was perfect timing, just as we all finished our cones and the boys headed out of the car to go to class, I turned around and saw that M had fallen asleep...with half the cone in his mouth, LOL! I mean, well - it's understandable, he himself just finished a fun filled afternoon at the preschool =D
After class, and a surprisingly pleasant, traffic free ride home, we decided that the day was just too wonderful and gorgeous to sit inside and waste away. So J picked up some panninis and pasta salad and set up the backyard for some water play.
The boys LOVED it. I LOVED it. I think we ALL LOVED it. It was such a wonderful way to end our busy day (and wash off all that sweat) and wind down for some evening homework.
Once in a while, it's fun to just stop in the middle of your week and have a great time... wouldn't you say?
I think my boys would agree =D
While the boys washed the rest of the day off in the bath, I snuck out to Michael's to pick up some liners for the next day's Bento Box lunches. And I lucked out on great sales! Most of the things I need and wanted from the Paula Deen line were 60% off! How amazing is that? So I walked away with cupcake liners for $.50! SCORE! And nothing, I mean nothing I bought was over $1 - loving being frugal at the moment, ha!
First tray: Crispy, Chicken Breast strips, ketchup, and sliced carrots
Second Tray: Walnuts, Animal Crackers, Trader Joe's Apple Bars, Goldfish
(And just for fun...)
A Dr. Seuss Pencil Eraser Top and Gummy Worms for a Special Treat
