What a Friday the 13th! Woke up on time, got the boys out the door at the right time, but GASP! Dang traffic! I'm not sure what happened on the freeway this morning, but it left me with an anxiety attack this morning. I managed to get the boys to school with 2 minutes to spare... PHEW!!
I stayed up pretty late last night filling out registration and emergency info x2 for the kids last night and as a result I had put off making their lunches and snacks. I ended up making them this morning, they weren't as elaborate but simple and delicious and somewhat healthy.
(Snack: Danimals, Goldfish, and Animal Crackers. Lunch: Trader Joe's Pizza, Carrot Sticks w/Ranch Dressing, Ritz Crackers, and Treetop Fruit Snacks)
After getting home from a very chaotic morning, I got home and kissed the hubby goodbye as he made a mad dash for the door to make his appointments with potential brides and run errands for our very big event tomorrow in Palos Verdes. I made a few phone calls to some potential clients and placed special orders for tomorrow's event - I've been trying to help the hubby out, which is really hard when I've got M bursting through our office doors proclaiming, "Mommy!!!!! I want Brobee. Again! Again! Again! (repeat)." Afterwards, M and I spent a lot of time cuddling and eating breakfast while watching Nick, Jr. I got him started on some coloring and was determined to get some of my projects underway. I was able to sift through a mile high pile of paperwork that needed to be sorted, organized and refiled everything, got most of next week's schedule underway, and all under an hour! Yay me!
We had some of our chefs come by the house and get a lot of the prep work done for tomorrow's event, then my good friend Cynthia came by with her mom and friends and visited for a while. I felt kind of bad because I had to get the older boys from school, drop B off with his Step Mom, then go grocery shopping for a few needed items for our Chefs. I got back and hung out with Cynthia for an hour before she had to head back home. The hubs got home a short while after our chefs were done prepping, then my sister paid us a surprise visit =D
I've been craving Pork Adobo lately. I truly need my Filipino dish fix at least every other week, and so when I can't make my way over to my parents place, I google, LOL! It turned out pretty good considering I didn't have all the ingredients. Goal achieved.
Well, I've got a big day tomorrow helping the hubs out with tomorrow's errands and the event itself. As we speak I've got about 72 wine glasses waiting to be cleaned and packed for transport, at the same time laundry is going. We're going to be so tired after tomorrow, I really don't want to spend my entire day Sunday cleaning, especially when I've got a florall appointment at lunch. I so LOVE wedding season!
