I have been going non stop today. Between errands and drop offs, it seems like I haven't sat down to catch my breath in hours. Okay, I lie. I've been sitting here at my computer for the last 3 hours doing absolutely nothing but Facebook games and being nosey. But really, from the moment I woke up till about 3 hours ago, I have NOT had a moment to just do nothing.
And I know I'm complaining, but it's my blog and my thoughts so there.
I dropped the boys off at school, came back home and fed M some breakfast and changed him for the day. Then he and I headed over to our almost finished home to meet J and the contractors to talk about a few things that needed clarification for the remodel. J had an appointment with a client, so we didn't stay long - just a lot of nods and hmmmm's? over some of the choices we were given. This didn't fan out to well by the time we settled down this evening, because then J and I were heavily discussing the continuous color patterns of the paint choices I made from wall to ceiling - Anyhow, I was right he was wrong (and the late night call to the contractor justified that - NOT just being the obnoxious wife, ha!)
M and I headed over to McDo to grab a bite to eat and inished off at home for a short bit. He fell asleep - which I knew he would because he got up super early after going to bed super late. None the less, we had to keep the routine consistent and headed off to preschool, which he fell asleep again during the car ride over. I felt so bad having to wake him up but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.
Afterwards, I headed over to MANSLAND aka LOWES, walking around completely confused trying to find sample swatches and aisles for carpet and vinyl flooring. I've never been so confused in my life, I saw a bunch of unfinished parts that in a man's world will become something put together. I looked so insanely confused that one (well maybe more than one) employee walked up to me and saved me! She asked if I was lost, because she could see it on me face, yikes! LOL! She pointed me to the right direction, and I planted myself down on the concrete floors and started taking model and item numbers, pictures that I emailed and text to J (who by the way, didn't bother even looking at till later this afternoon). After I conquered that hurdle, i was off to find some ceiling fans and lighting that J and I were purchasing for our home - we had meant to do it prior to the fire, so we thought that this would be a great opportunity to just get it out of the way. So, again I sat down at took more information and pictures and walked out completely exhausted. Lowe's and any other home improvement store will be the death of me I swear - especially for items that I just would rather hire to put together than have to figure out what the many parts are for. Ummm... I'd rather go to Ikea, they at least have the Swedish meatballs and a cafeteria there, LOL!
I headed home with an hour to spare before having to pick up M, and I used it wisely by eating some leftovers for lunch. I thought the rest of the day would go perfectly, until I got a call from J that there was a HUGE possibility that he wouldn't be able to get the older boys from school. Thankfully, that worked out at the end, he was late but he got them - that's all that matters =D
After meeting J and the older boys at the house, we almost immediately left for Taekwondo. As usual, M fell asleep in his car seat after a very long and festive afternoon. The original plan was for J to take M for the evening while I headed out to the Valley with the boys, but why wake a sleeping toddler? Oh you moms know, that's one thing you definitely don't want to do, LOL!
So, between all the driving and running around like a crazy person, we somehow squeezed in dinner, baths, and homework into our evening. I think that Tuesday's and Thursdays will be my busy days - well at least this week. We'll see if I can get this under control without losing my mind first, ha!
